01 About The Project
Ambulante is a widely known Documentary Film Festival based in Mexico. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people gather in theaters to watch these premium documentaries. During the COVID-19 crisis, they found themselves in a position where they felt that they may have to cancel their annual festival, that’s where Fuzz came in. Four weeks shy of their planned festival start date, Fuzz created a quick way for them to be able to keep their festival going only this year, in the digital landscape and en casa (in home). We worked with third party vendor, Shift72 to ensure premium streaming was possible with proper anti-theft (DRM) video software. We also leveraged Vimeo for the live content such as Q&A so that we could feature Live Chat so that viewers could still engage. We created a custom landing page for the digitization of the event that scaled all devices and assisted with a content strategy alongside their main website. From a process perspective, the first thing we did was do a comparative/competitive analysis to assist with differentiating Ambulante from the rest of the landscape. From there we conducted a brief exploration that eventually got us to the final project that they fell in love with.
